Welcome

In the last few years, tremendous changes in the business environment have taken place with underlying factors including globalisation, knowledge-driven economies, as well as demographic and socio-economic shifts. As a result, managers are strongly challenged to cope with issues such as global strategies, leadership styles, multi-national teamwork, mergers & acquisitions, HRM, and marketing in a global context.

To meet the increasing demand of the international management skills and intercultural competence required for people currently undertaking, or about to embark on an international assignment, the Institute for Strategy and Business Economics and the Swiss Banking Institute of the University of Zurich offer an advanced executive programme on the subject 'International Management and Corporate Culture' for working professionals.

The objectives of this programme are to explore - on a global scale-, the latest insights on management concepts in all major functional areas, and to examine the impact of culture on organizational practices and management behaviours. A clear focus will be given to the regions of the economy that exhibits growing importance. The curriculum is created to give participants a unique learning opportunity combining international management and intercultural competences. The final aim of this certificate programme is to provide a solid grounding in both technical conditions for successful business and the ability to deal effectively with other cultures.

May I invite you to go through the Web sites and welcome you to apply for this exciting programme (application form for the term 2010-2011, PDF 160 kB)
